Repurposed Baby Formula Can To a Wipe Container

My latest quick baby project is super cute and easy that just anyone can do it!
I save my daughters formula cans because you just never know when you might need em.
Low and behold I needed a wipes container since the box of pampers wipes that came in the mail weren't resealable and having them in a ziplock bag wasn't making me happy at all!

I put my thinking cap on and was like OMG I can use the formula can to place the wipes in em!
Mind you I did this without the help of PINTEREST. Ha, I feel real proud right now. And I hope other mommies that have this trouble can find my solution and redo what I did.

Wipes.

Used cardstock paper to wrap the can. Some ribbon for decoration. Vinyl for the sign.

Cut an X slit on the top enough for the wipes to pull threw and NOT dry out.

Note:Only half of the wipes fit in the can so place the other half in a ziplock air tight bag so you can refill this can once you are running low.

DIY fall wreath- easy!

I finally created my first wreath. It's a fall inspired wreath that just came to me via one of my many hunts on Pinterest. I have a few pool noodles so being as how it's no more pool weather I trimmed it a bit and just taped the ends together to make a circle. Then I got leaves at the dollar store only 2 packs is needed. I used some different leaves to accent where the ribbon would string from and then used some foam letters on some of the remaining leaves to create the word FALL. I then strung some ribbon and then glued the leaves of the word fall onto the ribbon and voila I was done within 30 minutes on a beautiful wreath to decorate my door. I can't wait to make a Christmas inspired one so stay tuned for that one.

Felt and Cloth baby booties DIY

In my new found quest to be frugal I have discovered that sometimes baby shoes are pricey! So trying to pinch pennies for my new little one I searched for a economical way to dress up her little footsies in an affordable way and in a way that I can add my own touch to it. I don't have a sewing machine so by hand is what I do best with some hem tape to boot. I use the hem tape to add the straps to the booties and velcro to secure that it stays on baby girls feet. Here are the four I have made thus far and I cant wait to make more for her every expanding wardrobe that is now booming all over my room... :)

Updates on my new bundle of joy projects

I finally found the tole at the thrift shop for a dollar to add to the up cycled lamp shade baby mobile I've made for kaylee. I've also painted the bird where her initials are and the kids each painted a bird house. I like having them participate that way they will feel included and plus it will be a wonderful memory to cherish. Here's some photos but I will take the photos of the finished products as soon as I can finish her decorations which I have still a few things in mind. Enjoy xo.

Hair Clip Holder DIY

With all the hair clips I've made my daughter we needed to make a clip holder. Next on our list is to make her a head band holder so stay tuned for that one! So we found the foam plate at the dollar store and her initial N at the dollar store also and the wooden appliques there too! I was excited of course and let her paint everything herself with the colors she wanted. It ended up being a nice mommy and me project :) I glued the wooden appliques and her initial to where she choose it to be and I let her choose the ribbon color to be the holder to all her beautiful new clips by mommy! I recommend for all mommies to sit and try to do a project with their lil ones especially if they can have their input into the matter to personalize their room :) enjoy the photos. xo

Baby Mobile DIY

I think my far this is the most time consuming project. Especially if you are picky and a perfectionist like I am! So far I've spent only six hours putting my new baby who's arriving in October baby mobile. I refuse to spend 40+ on a generic same old mobile! So I searched and I searched for days putting ideas down into my lil brain and finally I had all the things I needed to put her baby mobile together. Trouble was I simply couldn't decide on penguins or cupcakes or flowers or birds! I wasn't going to just throw a bunch of my wants together so I opted for the flowers and the birds. Here I go again going onto PINTEREST and got the templates (sorry I only saved a few and will post em here for you) and printed it out and began to cut my felt shapes. The sewing process (which I detest) wasn't as bad as I had anticipated. I put pearls for the birds eyes and my husband suggested putting each side of the flowers and birds different colors so if they moved she can see the colors changing which I thought was a wonderful input! Next had to string the pearls cuz yes all lil girls should have, want and LOVE pearls! Ribbon was strung and might I add it was a lot of ribbon! Right in the middle of the mobile I placed a circle that way we can hand a musical wind up toy so it can sing her a nice lullaby :) What did I used? Here we go! I used an old lamp shade from a lamp that I had that simply needed to be thrown away because it had a short in it which is DANGEROUS! So I kept the lamp shade and I was like omg no trip to MICHAELS because I have everything here! Which is awesome because I simply hate wasting and throwing stuff that can be reused in a different manner! Enjoy the photos! xo
