Savory Saturday

Every Saturday I will try to post one of my recipes. Either that I found and revamped or something I would like to try. I found on Pinterest a great beef sirloin recipe that we loved a lot. So far this is my second time making it. I made it in my crockpot. Here's my version of the recipe I found

2 lbs beef sirloin cut into strips
Season with garlic powder and adobo
3tablespoons of vegetable oils
1 cube beef bouillon
1/4 cup of water
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/2 chopped onion
2 green peppers chopped
1 can stewed tomatoes
3 tablespoons of soy sauce

I had precut and put into a freezer bag then beef sirloin with onions and peppers. Let defrost do a bit and put into the crockpot n high and cover. Take the water and beef bouillon and let it break down with the corn starch and stir till dissolved. Put those contents into the crockpot over the beef and add the can of stewed tomatoes and the soy sauce and let it cook for four hours on high or on low for six.
Here's the picture of my finished product. Try it and definitely enjoy on my behalf.

Upcycle - Headband Holder

With all the headbands I've managed to make my daughter, I searched online for a cute way to display them. I will need to do many more of these in the upcoming weeks so stay tuned some will be different then others.
This one is an empty kool-aid can. I wrapped it with party paper and then just added ribbons for a touch of BAM. She really loved it and said it was so cool. If you have tons of head bands like she does be sure to make a few cuz one only really holds about four- five depending on the style of the headband. Below are the pictures. Enjoy.

The kids chore chart

When things don't get done and kids refuse to do what they need to do then you definitely need to make a chore chart! After a long year of "clean that up!" and "why are your dirty clothes on the floor?" was driving me totally up the wall. So I needed to implement a chore chart and everyday it gets changed to a different task so they won't get bored. The chore cards are laminated and no I don't have a laminator so I use the business card laminator and just use my trusty iron and a shirt to laminate (leave pressed on for 30 seconds). They have each an individual card that I will whole punch after all chores of the day are completed. Once their Chore card is fully punched they will receive a card from the rewards with specific rewards for doing a job well done. I don't believe in giving children an allowance for doing household chores. I believe in giving them positive rewards so they can grow up not thinking that everything is about receiving money. Here's the results to my little project. Hope it inspires others to also create a chore chart for their little ones. p.s mommy can always use the extra help around the house!

Care zone app for family.

The care zone app is on the iOS but I haven't checked if its yet on google play aka android. Now the great thing about this app is that you can journal your kids achievements. You can list their to dos on what you wish for them to accomplish and get to check it off once they do! I like the privacy of it that the only way others can view their personal triumphs and about their lives is via email. This feature will definitely be a major plus because I am very cautious as to who knows what about my kids. I took screen shots of what it has and my three kids. I also have downloaded the care zone baby for our new comer kaylee. Documenting the pregnancy and the moods swings and foods and weight and everything else that way I won't have to repeatedly text everyone on her progress. In the care zone baby you just send a link and they are able to view it. Friends and family can also send you flowers for encouragement if your having a bad day which is a really cute feature. Here are the screen shots. Hope some mommies download the app and let me know what they think about this reccomendation. Enjoy. Xo.

Making room for Baby part 1

It was time for those old clothes and outdated to be gone away from my living space. I def did a good job and I'm proud of myself. Three trash bags later, half a closet gone and two drawers now completely empty and I have room in my room to start putting baby Kaylee's things away. I already started shopping plus certain lil things that were given to me are a plus in my book. Now I have to clear out an area for her and begin decorating by the end of the summer! I'm hoping this will go smoothly and that with all my medical problems baby comes on time and not early. Stay tuned as I post more projects for baby! Here's the blanket I've crochet for her and I will be making her another because well baby always needs an indoor crib blanket and an outdoor blanket for trips etc. xo.

New apps for the iPad

These are some new FREE apps I found just now and wanted to share with you fellow mommies.
I hope to hear from all of You that use the apps I have posted and give me feedback on what your children think of em. Thank you! Xo

Ribbon necklace/boa

For my daughters kindergarten graduation they are doing a conga farewell. I'm excited that she is able to do fun things at the picnic of her graduation. Since I don't want to just buy her a feather typical boa I decided, why not ribbon? Since I have so many of em! Here's the pictures of my steps into the complete product on her lil self. I basically braided up some yarn. Don't forget to heat seal your ribbon ends whoops I almost forgot! then i tied it onto the braided yarn in a simple tie knot. then i just covered the rest of the braided yarn in ribbon so it can be a nice long necklace/boa. hope it inspired others to use up some of that ribbon into cute necklaces for your lil ones. P.s. I'm showing my creative side more and more in every post. I have another project in mind that I will be doing this weekend with the rain, I need to stay busy. Xo.
